Flight Travel in Cameroon finally getting busy

The months of July, August have been busy months for the aviation industry in Cameroon. Flight travel resumptions of almost all the airlines beginning with Air France (AF), Brussels Airlines (SN), Ethiopian Airlines (ET), Egyptair (MS), Asky Airlines (KP), Rwandair (WB), and Kenya Airways (KQ) which now fly the airspace of Cameroon.

Repatriation flights predominant for the moment

Nevertheless, most flights are repatriation flights as most countries still have their borders closed due to the corona virus pandemic. But these countries are actively looking into possible re-opening. Repatriation flights consist of flying nationals and foreigners with resident permit to return to their various countries. This is an example of flights leaving Cameroon to Europe as has been the case these past months. However, A few repatriation flights have happened between Cameroon and other African or Asian countries.

Touristic & business travel is rapidly regaining momentum

Moreover, other countries are opening to tourism and business and some of these airlines have now scheduled flights to these destinations with departures from Cameroon. Most of the above-mentioned airlines have 3 weekly flights to varied destinations. But as other countries continue to open their borders, they will be connected with flights from Cameroon.

Finally, It should be noted that for all flights to and from Cameroon, the Government requires every passenger to do a COVID-19 test 72 hours before your flight, and the airlines expect you to come along with your face-mask.
