BAFUT PALACE & MUSEUM
About 11km from the Bamenda city is the famous Bafut Palace which dates over 600 years. It was at about 08:00 am in the morning as we drove past the commercial avenue till we got to the hospital round about where we took the direction of Bafut.
We drove for a short while and past the turn to the Mankon Palace, and continued straight to Bafut. Upon arrival we were received by one of the princes of the Bafut Palace, who assisted us in completing the necessary formalities before visit.
Once it was over, he gave us an excellent tour around the palace with a visit to the Museum filled with rich cultural and historical artifacts. We then descended to the Bafut Palace and we were entertained by the princes with their famous dance. It was an enjoyable visit.
