RELIGION : The religious composition of Ghana in the first postindependence population census of 1960 was 25 percent Muslim, 23 percent traditionalist, 41 percentChristian, and the rest (about 9 percent) other.

ELECTRIC POWER : Voltage – Ghana uses 220V power, so if you are bringing a blow dryer, electric shaver, laptop or any other electrical appliance, you may need to purchase a “step down” transformer. Some appliances have a 110/220 switch, which will work fine, all you need then is a small plug-in adapter that will accept your plug type.

CLIMATE : The climate of Ghana is tropical. The eastern coastal belt is warm and comparatively dry, the south-west corner of Ghana is hot and humid, and the north of Ghana is hot and dry. Ghana is located on the Gulf of Guinea, only a few degrees north of the Equator, giving it a warm climate.

Medical facilities are poor outside towns. For serious medical treatment, medical evacuation will be necessary. Make sure you have adequate travel health insurance and accessible funds to cover the cost of any medical treatment abroad and repatriation.

There are reports of a cholera outbreak in Accra. Some isolated cases of cholera have also been reported in northern Ghana. The Ghanaian Ministry of Health has reported an outbreak of pneumococcal meningitis with a total of 100 deaths. All regions have been affected apart from the central region of Ghana. VISA INFORMATION : All foreign nationals except for Kosovo visiting Seychelles are granted visa free access. They must be in a possession of a valid passport, return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and sufficient funds.
