KID-FRIENDLY BEACH EXCURSION

Sammy had been on my neck for so long, he wanted us to get out there so he could have some fun-time with his brother Kemuel and if possible other kids. With so much excitement on their faces, I decided to contact Orton Travel Tour, a travel agency specialized in the organization of group excursions to the beach. It turned out that they had already carried out their September beach trip and were looking forward to another on Saturday the 12th of October, to the Lobe waterfall beach in Kribi, Cameroon.

When I got in touch with the Manager, he told me, they haven’t been doing for kids but will like to embrace the challenge, which I appreciated. He billed me on the cost of my two (2) kids and included me into their Beach Excursion WhatsApp Forum, where every information about the trip was being shared.

On the forum, they shared a voucher for the beach excursion on the 12th telling us when we have to arrive at the pick-up point, the type of dresses we needed to wear especially on the beach and others. The information on the voucher was precise.

On the day of the excursion, every participant was on time and the Manager briefed us on the excursion, introducing his staff and the next thing, we checked – in, and started our journey from Douala to Kribi. The tour guide informed us as we traveled from one town to the next and one region to the other. It was a long journey of about 3 – 4 hours.

Right on the white sandy beach, Team Orton made every installation and in no time, they set us for the games, Sammy & Kemuel were so excited and I could see my kids enjoying every moment of this trip. It wasn’t their first time on the beach though, but this excursion seemed special not just for my kids but for me too. When my kids had put on their life-jackets provided by Orton, all they wanted to do was swim and stay as much as they can in the waters.

Upon arrival at Kribi, Orton’s partners at the beach were already there in wait for us. They welcomed us and transferred our luggage into the canoes for a canoe ride which will both take us to the other side as well as serve as a means for us to enjoy a closer site visit to the magnificent Lobe waterfalls. It was a great ride and an enjoyable visit with a technical closure to the Lobe waterfalls.
