DISCOVERING DOUALA WITH ORTON

Team Orton in a bid to discover Douala for our clients, engaged in a walk on an excursion to the most interesting sites of the City, which comprises of; the Saint Peter and Paul’s Cathedrale, King Akwa’s Palace, La Pagode, the Maritime Museum, and down to the banks of the River Wouri, where we were graced with the cool breeze from the waters. We marched like honeymooners on the beach shore and sometimes like soldiers to the battle ground. It was under excellent weather conditions as we were favored by the gods of the land. Going from the office to the Cathedrale, then to Carrefour Joss, with smiles on our faces, we ascended the insignificant hill entering to Bonanjo, then made a stop at the King Bell’s Palace, commonly called “La Pagode”. Snapshots were not missed out. We got into the “Place de Gouvernement”, a beautiful garden where lots of strollers rest while in Bonanjo. Its beauty, just unspeakable. Finally, we embarked on the road, heading to the Maritime Museum. Our visit at the museum was great and discovering the “Case de Tempête” was more of a wow. It was towards the close of the day, when we descended to the banks of the river and were welcomed by the magnificent River Wouri, with almost everyone wanting to be close to this river which offers a more quiet and cooler breeze that speaks to the soul.
