JOURNEY TO THE TWIN LAKE
As we trekked through the bushes and into the Mount Manengouba headed for the most beautiful lakes within Cameroon, with our Bororo guides who accompanied us on this expedition which seemed to be only a myth. The trek was exciting as we walked in the group chatting when necessary to boost the ladies, rested when we had to. The mountain breeze blew across our faces, as cold as ice itself and as strong as the monsoon wind, to put down the weak along its paths. Behold we had prepared ourselves for battle, ready to encounter nature.
As we got close to our destination, the mountains unfolded and waoh…, it was a discovery like no one else, the beauty of the greenish scenery with the twin lake seen from a distance, our hopes were high, we leaped for joy to get closer and have a brighter and clearer view of our long awaited dream, though with the tiredness of trekking, we doubled our pace to encounter the beauty of the twin lakes on the Manengouba mountains.
